How can I tell my boss that I don’t want to be trained to perform a certain responsibility because I believe it’s above my pay

I work retail for a large clothing brand. I’m now at my third location with the company due to COVID-related transfers. At the first two locations, only managers and one cash specialist opened and closed cash, but at this location, it seems that anyone who is cash trained and is scheduled opening/closing shifts is eventually trained to open/close cash. The managers and cash specialist obviously have a higher wage than us part-time sales associates. Based on the previous two locations, I don’t think this is in line with the brand’s policy, but I suppose I could be wrong? I somehow doubt it though. I have a feeling that my manager will want to train me to close cash soon, but I know that at my previous locations that would come with a raise. What’s the best way to tell him that I don’t want to be trained to perform this…

I have a feeling that my manager will want to train me to close cash soon, but I know that at my previous locations that would come with a raise. What’s the best way to tell him that I don’t want to be trained to perform this responsibility? I don’t want to be disrespectful or say anything that could result in me losing my job, but I’ve been here before. I once had a job where I did the work of someone getting paid $20/hour while I was getting paid $14/hour. I don’t want a repeat of that. Thanks for any advice.
