I’m getting real tired of my coworkers’ attitudes. I manage investigations for missing/extra warehouse products. This is an office job, which is new for me. The work itself is great and I’m getting a lot done, but I’m having the shittiest time dealing with these office fuckers. Most of them are cool, but the worst ones happen to know all of the material I need to be trained for. This means I’m working with them every day.
They drive me up the wall, they’re assholes about everything. If I’m learning something new and don’t click something fast enough, they rush me. If I make an error, they correct me by talking to me like I’m a fucking idiot. Just yesterday, two of them were holding boxes while trying to open a keycard locked door. They looked like they were struggling, so I held the door for them. I wasn’t expecting a thank you or anything, but they didn’t acknowledge it and just said, “You have a card.” Referring to the fact I should scan my card too, which I was already going to do.
The deal is normally, I wouldn’t associate with people like that and I wouldn’t have a problem. But I can’t stop talking to them because I need them for my job. I’m moving jobs soon because of this and higher pay, but I wanted to treat this like a learning experience and ask how to deal with shitty coworkers when you can’t avoid them.
