How do I go to medical appointments when I work 9-5 with a commute?

The question is the title. I’m just out of college and about to start my first job in finance for a major company. Currently I have multiple chronic health issues all requiring specialist doctor appointments. I have knee issues (surgery), stomach / GI issues and sinus issues all requiring separate appointments and waitlists. How do I schedule these appointments when I can’t take “vacation” days in my first year? I don’t really want to use vacation time for routine health appointments either – and I can’t call out sick every time (my time off allowance accumulates). How do I schedule these when my doctors all work 9-5’s too? I would have to commute an hr or so in traffic to get to their offices. I can see how my company would allow this once or twice, but Im talking half a dozen or more appointments in the next few months…

I can see how my company would allow this once or twice, but Im talking half a dozen or more appointments in the next few months alone, not including the testing and imaging I will have to undergo to address everything. For example, in August, I have a medical appointment for my knee (arthritis treatment) every week for 4 consecutive weeks.

Has me wishing I had a WFH or hybrid job so that I can focus on my health at this period in my life. I’m feeling like longterm the corporate office environment will seriously take a toll on my physical health.
