I was pissed our group got zero raises this year, my coworker was happy enough that he got 100% of target bonus, he said if he hadn't got close to 100% that would have been his nudge to look for another role. I asked him why yet another year of no raise was not the que and he said “what's another $1k a year?”
How do you wake someone up to the fact that they are making 7% less if inflation is 7% and wage growth is 0%, or that it's fun to get a $5k bonus but if you keep accepting 0% raises that hurts you way more over time than not getting 100% of your target bonus?
