how do i respectfully and professionally ask my boss for equal pay?

for context, i started working for a small culinary company on the second of march. i get paid $14.50/hr, and i get insurance after 90 days. my manager told me when she interviewed me that i can start at $14.50, then get reevaluated for a raise, but she never told me when that may be. i was discussing this with my coworkers, and they mentioned that they get paid $16/hr. they haven’t been there much longer than me and i have the same amount of experience as one of the girls i work with. i know it’s not that much of a difference, but an extra $1.50/hr really adds up. my manager said i’m the “only one” she can really rely on, and she often has me switch between locations whenever someone calls out. the line cook even said i work harder than the two of them combined, and one…

my manager said i’m the “only one” she can really rely on, and she often has me switch between locations whenever someone calls out. the line cook even said i work harder than the two of them combined, and one of the girls said that the bosses really appreciate my hard work. then why not pay me what i deserve!?

i want to talk about this to my manager, but i don’t know how to approach this situation without coming across as entitled or whiny. i like this job and i don’t want to quit, but i just want equal pay.
