My employer is trying to make everyone participate in presentations (50 min) both Saturday and Sunday twice per quarter. So basically twice a quarter work Monday all the way to the following Friday with no days off. This was directed by email and we were told it's mandatory. We were given every weekend through the end of the year and asked to “volunteer” where we wanted to give our presentations. I hate this. It's being presented as “this is just what you're doing”. How do I respond that I wouldn't work 12 straight days for anyone and no one has asked this of me ever in my life? Because I feel like just saying “I won't be participating in this so what are the consequences?”
