I know this is dumb but I need advice.
I am supposed to start my new job next week. Unfortunately, I caught COVID last week and I’m still showing as positive.
My boss said that they don’t feel comfortable with me being in the office until I have tested negative. I completely understand that!
But I’m wondering if this means that if my start date is moved because I can’t physically be in the office or if I’m going to be using PTO. I need to start making money as i just moved to the area and do not have savings to supplement my rent in the meantime. I don’t know how to ask that in a respectful manner?
Any advice is appreciated.
