Using a throw away because I don't want this coming back to me.
I work for a commercial general contractor in Chicago. They are quite literally a text book example of the sketch general contractor that gives the industry a bad name.
This company has treated me like complete shit for two and a half years. They hired me during a time I was really struggling in life (mental health, substance abuse, and coming back from financially losing everything) and continued to remind me how much they did for me while under paying and forcing me to cover my own gas expenses. (Up to $8k a year). My boss also tried to turn me into a drug dealer for a client. He asked if I could find his client adderal. And because of the power dynamic I did it twice. Eventually I said no and he stood over my shoulder to make sure I deleted the texts talking about it to make sure his reputation was intact.
The top three people of my company have made lying the top policy. They lie to literally everyone. I'm suspicious they are cooking the books. We are running out of money fast. We cant pay subs. People are quiting left and right. The project managers and superintendents suffer. And these three fucktards had the balls to go golfing during work hours just a few weeks ago while the company is burning down. One them severely sexually harrased an employee. He did not get fired. She got demoted and he was her boss for a year until they fired her.
Fuck these people and fuck this company. I have never had more genuine primal hate for anyone than I do for these three people. Working at this company is becoming an integrity issue. Which is hilarious because there is a sign on the wall that says “Expand The Vision, Build With Integrity.” They are the most morally bankrupt individuals I have ever met.
I need to get the fuck out. They'd convinced me for years I couldn't go anywhere else. Well turns out I can. I have a few good interviews lined up. This company doesn't fucking deserve my two weeks. I want to convey to my next employers that I can start basically immediately. Typically I would give notice to a good employer, but this is personal.
How do I convey this because I don't want start with a redflag next to my name? Do I even need to say anything?
