If I say I was the CEO of Apple for 3 years I'll get called out on it but if I change my start and end dates for some old jobs to cover up a CV gap it's unlikely I'll get called out on it.

Also any other job searching methods that bosses would frown on e.g. giving a friend as a reference and pretending it's an old manager.
