How to explain termination in interviews and applications?

I recently got terminated from my job for a violation (that my boss and other coworkers threw me under the bus for). It wasn't bullying/assault/sexual harassment/anything serious like that, it was literally some small bullshit that nobody else admitted to but me. Lesson learned there. But, I'm applying for new jobs, and the applications are asking me if I've been fired or terminated from jobs before. Should I say no? For context, I live in NY, USA. I do believe it's an at-will state if that has anything to do with it.
