Just got this email today and I don't think I've ever been so aggravated and insulted in my life:
Hello Management Team,
At the end of next week we are going to be communicating to employees that we will now be monitoring the 2 in-office work days per week much closer. Although some employees have committed to this schedule, many are not. We will be asking employees to communicate their schedule to their manager to ensure we can track attendance. Department heads will need to email HR the agreed upon days of work for your teams. We will also use this as an opportunity to remind employees that these 2 days per week need to be full work days in the office and not just a few hours here and there. Ahead of this email communication (below) going to all employees, please use your department meeting to proactively communicate this to your teams. Please lead by example and enforce accountability. This was after my company said they wouldn't “police attendance” in the office. This proves that not only was that a lie, but it was a lie from the beginning. Now I'm extra motivated for my interview this afternoon and here's hoping I'm handing in notice before my PTO next week!
