Hi everyone,
I’m working a customer service job part time alongside studies but I can’t help but work hard (I’m the top first out of 73 which have been there for years), take the worst shifts and accept extra workload (just a bit) but I never work extra hours.
I know the company genuinely doesn’t care about me and that I’m disposable but the problem is I’ve always been conditioned to work hard. I stress myself a lot to keep up and while I know it’s ridiculous I’m so caught up in my work that I forget about actually slowing down to only meet the expectations of my job contract.
What scares me the most in this story is that I start to get stress causing me anxiety for hours and I don’t like that.
Basically: how to chill and not give a fuck about your work just doing the basic minimum?
