So, dispite trying to be as safe as I could due to health reasons, I got covid. I contacted my boss and asked if I could use my PTO for the time I was out. (I had asked if they had any programs for people out for covid but of course they didn't.) I was told in an email by our HR that I had a good amount of PTO that I could use.
So a week goes by and I'm back to work. Well, boss pulls me aside and says that actually I don't have those hours. HR apparently didn't factor in the time I had taken off 3 weeks ago. Dispite approving it 2 weeks before I used it. Now I don't get paid for a weeks wages. What's worse, during the conversation my boss insinuated I was supposed to keep track of my PTO.
It's only been about a year and I'm already so fucking done with this place. Tired of being mistreated by employers.
