HR Manager Denies the pay range provided on posting and tells me there is no way they can pay me that much!

I just finished an interview for a company where I have worked in the past and had done an internship. During my time there, I killed it, and I knew the role perfectly to the point where I was training contractors on how the role works. I did a few more internships after that, and gained experience and I am graduating so I applied to an open position I had. Went through the first round, technical without a hitch. I knew exactly what they wanted because I have done the role before. The HR manager asks me my expectations, I humbly say the lower range of the posted salary. He smirks and says , yeah no, you aren't getting paid that, we do not give new hires that salary. New Hires also don't have my experience, and I can start working without wasting time on training.
