I currently work in the southeastern united states for a biomedical company that provides surgeons the tools they need for a better operation.
I get paid 22 an hour. I have a degree in chemistry and work in the Analytical chemistry department. We touch every department through ours. Every department brings us samples and we have to get through them in 2 weeks
We have 10 people on our team out of the 1200 total employees. Our lab sees $100,000 of tissue come through the lab a month and we process a lot more than just tissue.
With my current rate, I can barely afford rent and food. I had to move cities for more affordable rent (2k with utilities a month).
I'd love to go back to school and get a masters but can't afford it.
