HR wasting my time

In December, I resigned from my previous job as I was being severely underpaid and were requiring me to be on-site 5 days a week even though I could do a majority of my job remotely. They also started tacking on more responsibilities that was no where near in line with my career. Anyways, fast-forwarding to January: I began my job search and received a job offer about 2 weeks ago paying me significantly more than my previous job. I still interviewed at other places trying to itch out more money. One interview in particular rubbed me the wrong way. The interview was going well, but HR was giving me weird responses to some of my questions. The reason I gave to quitting was a family member being sick (which the family member was and I did take care of him). However, HR asked if I didn't ask for time…

However, HR asked if I didn't ask for time off until the situation was resolved. However, at the time, I didn't know how long my older family member was going to be sick for (could be sick for 1 month, 6 months, whenever) so I resigned so that they can look for someone new. HR also asked me about job experience that wasn't even that relevant to my field and were short-time gigs during college even though I had more relevant experience that all my other interviews prioritized. Near the end of the interview, HR began to talk about salary. I entered an amount that I felt was fair, and HR tried lowballing me by offering $10,000 lower than the annual salary that I asked for. HR tried talking about how I don't have much experience even though I have about a year's worth of experience and the compensation I was asking for is the average in my city for my experience and field. HR asked if I was okay with 10,000 lower than I asked for and I gave a firm no. I'm assuming HR thought I was going to be desperate and say okay to it?
