Less than 100 years ago capital and politics were so firmly united against the working class that Americans literally had to take up arms to defend their Constitutional rights.
On the one hand, that's miserably disappointing. On the other, it's a reminder that Americans have, can, and will fight against the powers that oppress us. In the words of one of the greatest fascists of modern times, “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice.” Recognize that it's ok to fight, and that the oppressors will use like, words, and stuff.
