A lot of people on this sub have probably seen the drama over the railroad’s new attendance policy, and how they’re using the courts and laws to block union strikes (if not, search it). On a couple of those posts, I commented with a long explanation about why it would be difficult for the employees to even do a soft strike, especially once the policy was actually enacted. My husband worked for BNSF for nearly eight years, so we were pretty familiar with the difficulties of the railroad.
I’m super excited to say now that my husband got a job as an electrician apprentice! It’s going to be tough for a couple years, but we’re so happy for how good this will be for the long term.
