So I just got out of school and got my first job in the fundraising industry. I primarily chose this job because I like talking to people, especially when it is for something good like helping children.
I really like the people I met, they are really friendly and make the job more enyojable. But today something happened that made me realise this job is actually really shit.
I was told by a coworker that we are gonna go to Reutte, a town in Austria (our headquarter is based in Innsbruck which is a 30 minute bus ride away from where I live).
Going to Reutte wouldn't be a problem, but the poor public transport makes it one.
We would have to start there at 11 am and work untill 18:30, last train leaves at 20:30 or so which would mean I would be at home at almost midnight.
It is not compatible for me that I give up my freetime by having to work for 4€ an hour, with only a 30 minute break for entire work day.
But even when I am in the city we are based, I also come home at 21:30 which leaves me almost no time for family, friends and my gf for 5 of 7 days of the week. And I would also only be able to really enjoy saturday cause I would have to rest on Sunday because I need to work the next day and need to be rested.
If I could give yall an advice: Don't joyn this industrie if you want to enjoy your life and spend time with your family and friends. And you are extremly underpaied for 8 hors of constant walking around at every weather condition.
I hope this wasn't that hard to read, but I really needed to get this of my heart and thought this would be the best place.
