Meshuggah is one of my favourite bands of all time and no way in hell am I going to miss them because of a crappy job! I'm going to call in sick. I know my colleagues might be overworked but I covered for them multiple times! Once two of them were off “sick” (one of them got “ill” a day before his holiday) and I had to do 3 people's jobs. The least they can do is return the favour.
This shitty job is NOT worth sacrificing my passions. If they ask why I'm not in, I'll say I got sick from COVID. I'm tired of covering for multiple people without getting even a thank you in return.
I don't care that it's going to be busy. I don't care that there won't be enough cover. I don't fucking care, figure it out! I'm seeing Meshuggah regardless!
