Today A customer wanted tile and asked me for help even though I didn’t work in the department. But there wasn't anymore of the specific tile so I was looking for the tile and I heard my head store manager ask my coworker to go and help me which I didn't mind
So we went to go get the tile with the reach and then went back to where the customer was and I helped unload the title and whatever
So my coworker had asked me to stay near the reach while he helped the customer.
Then my coworker came back and I decided to help him unload the leftover tile that was on the pallet to be nice when I seen My Assistant Store manger walking towards me and My coworker and he said “Young lady why aren't we watering?” And I was going to answer him and tell him why And My assistant manager basically didn’t even let me say a word because I had barely opened my mouth to speak before he interrupted me by saying “No leave that there it's his (Trash) not yours. Now go water because you have a lot of work to do”
And he just took off Not even giving me a chance to say why I wasn’t watering which pissed me off even more.
But I was going to still take the trash when my coworker just told me leave because he didn't want me to get in trouble so I just left as my assistant Manager was still in the aisle looking at me
But My coworker did tell me thank you
But I swear I was about to be a smart ass and tell My assistant manager that I guess I'm not helping Customers anymore either because I have a lot of work to do but I didn’t
I know it wasn’t my Job in the first place as I don’t work in the tile department. But I hate that I can’t even help my coworkers from different departments without my Assistant Manager making me feel like I’m nothing but a Damn doormat Every time I’m not doing my job
