I am starting to think work from home privilege is a thing

It seems like people who work in my company or in a similar field have gotten so used to working by from home that in people doing in-person positions are left out. When you go clubbing, your friends don’t seem to understand why you have to leave early or don’t want to drink. Your virtual co-workers don’t understand that your boss wants to meet about branding so you can’t make it to the brainstorming session with the rest of the team. People are forgetting how hard it is to be in an office. While I’m grateful that more people are getting the opportunity to work from home, many of us are stuck coming into the office everyday when it’s not even necessary. People are forgetting how hard it is to be in an office. While I’m grateful that more people are getting the opportunity to work from home, many of us are stuck coming into the office everyday when it’s not even necessary. Even if our job could be totally remote. My boss is anal about me coming into the office everyday when the only thing I need to do from the office is bring in the checks from the mail. I could easily do hybrid and have them wait a day.

EDIT: I’m not anti work from home in any way, my point is that for those who do work from home it’s easy to forget than not everyone has that luxury and there’s still work to be done in making sure more people can.
