I worked for the largest security company in the US. You would think they'd have their act together.
I came down with Covid. I tested at home. I sent in a picture of the test and they said that wasn't good enough. I was hospitalized that same day and sent them the paperwork and Doctor's name plus my MRN and discharge papers. That still was not enough. They demanded the UPC off the Covid test or I was fired.
Since the Covid test was one of the free ones from the gov't all I had was a tracking number. They fired me.
Now, they are demanding all their uniforms back. Their main office is over an hour drive away. I asked them to please send me a pre-paid FedEx label so I can just drop the box of uniforms at a local Fedex dropoff.
The head of their Human Resources makes a label. She sets the weight at .5 lbs (I have over 7lbs in heavy uniforms) and sends it to my house with “Signature required”.
Since I am now working another job, I am not home to sign for label inside a package that is marked “Signature required” when Fedex comes every day. Since they have attempted delivery too many times, they are sending the label back to Human Resources.
I'm about to dumpster fire all these uniforms. What they did is probably illegal and I'm so fed up.
