I cried leaving work last night; haven’t done that in years.

My job has always been busy. Whether I’m a cashier, running service desk, running orders out to people’s cars, it’s busy. I get it. However. We had one call off the other night that fucked us over. It shouldn’t take just ONE for it to be the shitshow that it was. Constant running 3 orders outside, huge lines, insanity. I ask for 40 hours, have open availability, and still barely manage 30. I have a second job because I need it. I had to close the registers for all over the store, something I was trained in once and not ready to do. I barely avoided hitting my meal compliance by 3 minutes. I cried when I got in the car. The chaos just broke me. I’ve done customer service for 5 years, and I’ve only been broken one other time. Fuck that place. I plan on looking for another…

I just finished my bachelor’s in sociology and minor in psychology, and would ideally want to find something in that field. But retail, has broken me. Target has broken me.
