I have a construction job building safe work platforms and I’m constantly referred to as a “worker” but over the years its kind of become like this dirty word to me, like – “got a problem? Don’t worry, we’ll send some workers”
Or like “workers don’t have to be friends, they just have to communicate”
At first it didn’t bother me much but as I am getting older it makes me angry. It sounds condescending when I hear it now, especially from people who themselves wont be doing any work.
