Have an “interview” with an employment agency later and they want two supervisor references.
I don't actually know if my past supervisors still work at those companies. We're not friends. We don't keep in touch. I might be able to find them on LinkedIn but won't have current phone numbers. Also, if I were a supervisor I'd be pissed that someone is giving out my phone number.
The last time I had one of these “interviews” they said I wanted too much money, so it might be a waste of time anyway.
I understand the point of asking for references, I just don't know if it's still a realistic expectation to have people provide them.
