Context, I’ve worked at this place for two years now, working my way up always giving 100% and I follow all the rules. I’ve been promoted over these two years to the Trainer, who handles all the new hires. But recently I’ve been hearing that all the new hires are starting at a pay base A DOLLAR more than I am, and I feel like that’s very wrong considering I’m training them and I’m making less than they are, even though I feel like I should be making more, I work four nights a week even though I’m a full time student (which sacrifices my own sleep and free time), and I’ve shown loyalty and I would say I’m pretty good at what I do.
My mom says that life is unfair and I should just let it go, but I don’t know what to do. I feel like it’s unfair to keep working so hard for less.
