I don’t know the ins and outs of the system in the states as I’m not in the states but from what I’ve seen you can just get fired.
Here that does not happen you don’t just get fired unless it’s gross misconduct or if it’s not gross misconduct your workplace has to have a paper trail for some time showing that they have tried to help you before firing you. I used to think America was ahead of everyone…..but tbh it’s so backwards and I do not mean to offend anyone. I just think it’s so sad.
Your minimum wage..yikes. My brother lives in the states and I was talking to his partner she asked me how much I get paid I told her she then converted £ to $ and was shocked.
I’d be scared to work in the states of course it’s not the worst of the worst but for a first world country people really are not safe a manager can just fire you if they’re having a bad day and you do one wrong thing?

As well I’m seeing a lot of union stuff I thought that was normal. The whole Starbucks fiasco it’s as if the word “union” is sacred and shouldn’t be used yikes those employers are scary aha
