I can't believe I've had this job for 5 years. 5 years of trying to pretend I'm working, while only putting in MAYBE 8 hours of honest work in a week.
I opened the gift from corporate with my supervisor. She was curious, because she is also coming up on her 5 year. They bestowed upon me a notebook, a pen (already lost it), a flash light, a tape measure, and some dark chocolate. We both ended the gift opening with a, “….well…that was…nice”.
5 years of absolute boredom!
So I started studying for my NCLEX (nursing test). And I only study during work hours, when I have the most down time away from my family.
PS, if you want an incredibly boring and easy job, with great benefits and okay pay, join a utility company.
