I applied to a position at a collision company last night before bed. They called me this morning and asked if I could come within the next hour for the interview. Normally I would have said no but I was already up and this place isn’t far from where I live. I get there and wait a few minutes past the time given to me which is fine then they call me into the office to conduct the interview. They asked the normal and typical what do you currently do, why did you apply here and why you want to work here, blah blah blah. They then go on to tell me that the position I applied for is not only the busiest but toughest position there at the company and HERES THE KICKER they are PAID THE LEAST. Not only are they paid the least, they are required to stay longer than anyone else, work on their off days from time to time and even stay until midnight on some days when the shift begins at 8AM. I couldn’t even believe they told me all that with a straight face, fuck that place and all the other places like them that treat their employees like a modern day slave.
