So… Last Friday I (22f) got fired from my work at one of the local museums, because according to my manager some of my colleagues feel insulted that I don't want to create close friendships with them. I still don't want to believe the absurdity of the situation and the sheer confusion I felt when I had that last conversation with my supervisor and manager! I tried to explain that while I am actively friendly with everyone there, that doesn't mean that I consider them anymore than friendly acquaintances. But no, apparently that is not what they “wanted for our unit moving forward”. I was left speechless and feeling equal measures of angry and amused. I was on this job from 21th of July… so you can judge how delusional their reason was. I was paid today for my time there at least. 10/10 would not recommend working with we-pride-ourself-with-our-non-toxic-work-atmosphere company ever again. (that's how they called themselves during the interview)
