I got fired Saturday from my job of almost 3 years. I was working at a grocery store in my town as a cashier/bagger. I’ve never gotten a warning or a write up, always have been on time for work, barely call in, and I’m great with customers. The reason I got fired was for playing with a pool noodle. A fucking pool noodle. For reference it was 10:50 pm and the store closes at 11 and the store was dead. Me and another coworker were playing with the pool noodles that were on display in the front of the store. My boss the next day pulled me into his office and this is how it went.
Boss: “so (name) did you have fun last night?”
Me: “I guess?”
Boss: “well can you look at this for me”
He proceeds to show me a 10 sec clip of me and the other co worker playing with the pool noodle.
Boss: “yeah we don’t tolerate that here, you’re terminated, hand in your badge”
The interaction was less than a minute. I fucking hate that store. Does anyone else think that this is bullshit? Also sorry for the format I’m on mobile 🙁
