This happened about two week ago, I didn't think it would work well here but lets give it a shot. I am a college student and I have been working through a temp agency throughout most of my college career. About six months into a company they decided to hire me on however a contingency for the hiring process is a nicotine test. The drug test I was assuming about three weeks to a month away so I was thinking I can quit my e-cigarette addiction in that amount of time. Just mentioned to my supervisor that I currently smoke e-cigarettes but I will quit since it will be tested. A week prior to them hiring me in they fired me, after I went through a type of hell trying to quit smoking e-cigarettes. They said there can be no nicotine, gum patches etc.. And i was just sitting there like either I'm a dumbass for letting them know or this is just a bullshit policy set in place by the company.
