I am in the process of looking for a new job, mostly using indeed, and it sucks! So many jobs make you take these little quizzes (that often take 20 minutes to complete all of them) before they even look at your application and resume. Half the time it doesn’t seem relevant to the position at all or it’s a personality quiz. I had applied at Home Depot, took WELL over 20 minutes answering a very long questionnaire, agreed to be drug tested and background checked, and was sent an email inviting me for an interview. At that point there was another questionnaire that told me I was disqualified from the application because I said I wasn’t okay with working seasonally. Nowhere in the posting or job description did it mention it was a seasonal position. I was so pissed off that I even called the store and complained to the manager about how it’s disrespectful to waste applicants time like this when they don’t even provide one of the most important pieces of information. He definitely didnt care but it made me feel better. Anyways, the job search sucks especially in the area I live.
