I applied to a job on Indeed over a month ago and after no reply from the office, I withdrew the application. The office manager called me yesterday and asked me if I was still interested. I already have a full time job and need another job so I agreed to an interview.
She then said I need to be there at 5pm today. She didn't ask if that was a good time/day or not, just demanded. She said “I have your resume in front of me here but you should print and bring a copy or two.”. As she continued speaking it just got worse. She told me I would have to sit and fill out their official job application (my favorite) and that I need to bring 4 business references printed out for her to contact same day. I'm guessing she will be calling people at dinnertime.
This is for a part time job. I'm pretty sure a dental office has a printer/copier. I am expected to contact all my references before this interview and say “You need to pick up when XYZ calls tonight!.”.
It's ridiculous.
