I just am not happy.

I work for a large company 2k+ employees. I have managed to work my way up to a position where I at times work hand and hand with the owners of the company. I am torn the owner of the company will often do some incredible things to take care of the employees and is constantly trying to get everyone involved to make to company work and work well. The owner is not tight with his purse strings, I am paid nearly 30% higher than the max in America for my job i have been flat out told that is not a celing as well. Overall he seems like an ideal owner. There are some spots where we lack as a company the spots being equipment and the ability to maintain the equipment as well as structure. There is a lot of cowboying things, not a fan myself though when…

There is a lot of cowboying things, not a fan myself though when I mention it's being cowboyed and I'm not a fan we revisit right there, it is also often fixed but that is not always the case.

I work generally a minimum of 50 hours a week at about 75k a year american. I am always mentally exhausted as the equipment issue and maintenance issue is constantly making it impossible to live up to what we have promised the customers. There is no yelling or reprimands when we fail just a right now conversation of how we fix the issue immediately presenting itself. The major issue I currently am struggling with is that we keep growing aggressively like mad aggressively but for the way we grow we're constantly in a state of 95% usage of equipment that at a minimum takes 6 to 8 months to build another. We have had this issue for years, we could have used another 6 or 8 pieces of equipment 4 years ago and then another 4 pieces in the past 2 year. With that being said the 12 pieces of equipment would have cost easily 4.5 million total. The company could have accommodated this as it's easily a company worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The position I have more recently taken has put me in a position of influence at this point. Unfortunately it's after a tyrant was in place and we had major employment issues. I have been able to get the company back to 80% staff in my division but can not for the life of me get nights settled. The guys who work with the equipment are $28 to $32 an hour guys and they all work 60+ hours. That being said these guys are 100k all day long on the low end. I used to do their job 3 years ago and was on the unfortunate side of it whe. The high pay area was $25 and I was at $21 years ago.

The reason I'm posting this is because for the life of me I can't seem to be happy in this position because I know we have all been aware of the equipment issues for a long time and we are getting 6 more prices sometime after the busy season. I have been in many meetings with the guys we work with hearing their disappointment with what my team is doing and their work flow. The first couple were brutal and they were bashing hard on our flaws that we had been working on for months to improve and after the 3rd meeting they started to come to the conclusion that were operatingat 95% all the time and it'snot really somethingwe can fix; with out equipment or extremely flexible people who do not exist. The job is working on my marriage and my sanity, there is light at the end of this tunnel but it's dim.

The wife is going to school using some programs to help us pay, and she is under the belief that if I change jobs it will endangered that. She will be going into the medical field when it's all said and done, that will at least relieve the monetary stress but it feels like it's a million miles away.

I feel trapped, I can not get away from this as my entire family(2 kids) relies on the money I bring in and we live an ok life with 12k in card debt and and very little few luxuries that don't often have us playing games with money.

I just don't understand why we as a company have not purchased the necessary equipment to match our growth and prevent guys from having to work 60 to 70 hours a week. That would make it so my job and the other 60+ people in my divisions job was dramatically more bearable.

Am I crazy?

TL:DR Please don't comment.
