My girlfriend has been supporting me since pandemic unemployment ran out last year and this situation is just no longer tenable for us. I have no skills or education or connections, shoddy work history (a few restaurants that I left under less than ideal circumstances, a long period of informal employment before Covid), and no car. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in our neighborhood but the whole process of applying is so overwhelming, let alone even the thought of being hired and whatever humiliations that would entail…sorry if this is not an appropriate post, thanks everybody
