I don't know why but my previous mentor/manager was extremely rude to me and had a very short temper. I ended up leaving the job when my contract ended trying to be on good terms, and when I said my good byes to her, she gave me a very rude and sarcastic response for no reason and I just ignored it (remote position by the way, so since we were not face to face her responses may have been more bold).
Everyone else on the team was nice and seemed to like me except for her and to this day I don't know why because I've never had this issue at any other job. She basically made me feel incompetent for asking questions and scared to ask because she could easily get mad over nothing.
Fortunately I wasn't unemployed for too long because I just accepted a job offer and more than doubled what I was making at the last job. I'm so unbelievably happy right now because I hear about people doing this all the time and I never expected it to be me! Heck, they offered me 30k freaking more than I asked. I might even be making more than her so she can go suck it!
I can't believe this but I'm so happy. I live with my parents for now so I'm going to make sure to save up a lot of money. I never thought I'd be able to buy a house but if I work my butt off and do a good job for this new role maybe one day I will!
Don't tolerate bs from employers because you're probably more valuable than you think.
