I have a BS and 4 years of military experience. I am still serving in the guard. I just can't catch a break with these shitty, penny-pinching jobs…. My best friend works in a hospital and helped me get a job so I could move and be more independent. I originally worked for the airlines, but when they crashed due to covid, the pay and hours were too awful to stay…. So I dedicated 6 weeks of my time here to learn how to do neurology work. Well come to find out, I'm only being paid about 60% of the average of what most people doing my job get paid at other hospitals and in other states. Not even $14 to put my hands on patients and respond to codes/rapid response. I know I should be thankful I'm doing better now since the airport, but I feel discouraged when my paycheck comes in….
