For context I have:
– only just found out
– work as an hourly wage cagey worker
– have only worked here for about 2 weeks
I was browsing this subreddit yesterday and discovered that it is against the FLSA and illegal to require workers to come to work 15-30mins early and not pay them.
The place that employs me does just that. I don’t know if it is “enforced” or not because I’ve never been late. But they have posters up and explicitly told me that they want me there early (around 15-30mins early).
I’m rather young and honestly have no idea what to do in response to finding out this information. Any advice?
