I've worked hard my entire life except the past 2 years. I was spoiled with COVID unemployment money and it held me for a long time.
I've had shitty shitty jobs in the past. This job pays well ($20/hr) and it's in a grocery store, and it's easy. Today was my second day
Idk why but I hate it. Haaaaate it. The time feels like it drags on forever. Maybe I'm just not used to working anymore but I feel like the time at this job just goes by SO slowly.
I prefer blue-collar type jobs like construction because you're outside all day but I can't handle the hyper “masculine” work environment. I'm a gay guy so I never fit in well at those kinds of jobs but they've been my favorite. The time flies by and you get to be outside and more “free”.
Idk. This is a shitpost. Is it normal to hate a new job on the first few days/weeks? I guess I can't remember. I feel like I've loved certain jobs on the first day in the past but maybe I'm remembering wrong.
I'm obviously gonna stick it out and work, but I'm gonna look for a new job that's outside or something.
This is antiwork and I know we hate working but I need money. And this seems like a safe place to vent lol. Thoughts?
