So after taxes I make 2400 Dollars a month – appartment costs 900 – food 300 – and just like that half of my income is gone just so that I have shelter and food. Car – gasoline – insurance – internet – phone – repairs ect ect I am left with around 150 Dollars at the end of the month I can save or buy me a treat for beeing a good slave doggy. Thats like 6% of what I make…..
A house or Family? forget it. Reserves if something happenes? Forget it. I have 800 Dollars in my account after saving for half a year….. Those are gone the moment I need a new…something…anything.
How the hell was it possible for the people in the 50s and 60s to not only afford themselves a good life – but their entire family of 5 – with just one income? I cant fathom it!
