I lied about my salary (and a little experience) for the job of my dreams

I currently make $110k at a software company. It is fairly inline with what I should be getting paid at my current company, although I was expecting a promotion anytime now to Senior. I have been currently job hunting and wanted to go for something bigger. On my resume, I made my current role a job title of “Senior”. I know I'm technically not, but that's because the company is lagging behind actually promoting me. I am definitely Senior standard in my day-to-day. I packed all my eggs in one basket at one place I really wanted to work. Hyper-growth, pays 95% in salary in my country. I didn't want to miss out. In my first interview with the talent acquisition interviewer, I said I made $135k and am expecting a raise, so want at least $150k. I also probably _shouldn't_ have lied on my resume, but I didn't expect…

I also probably _shouldn't_ have lied on my resume, but I didn't expect to get this far.

I interviewed many more rounds and ended up getting through.

I spoke again with him and said I want $160k. He said “we actually hired someone for $150k who performed worse than you”. This gave me hope.

I got a verbal offer two days ago which I accepted for $160k (for a Mid, NOT Senior position), and now got the employment contract in my emails. As part of this, I needed to do a reference check. This had me quite worried, and I got 2x people from my previous job. I'm praying they don't ask me to get a reference at my current job. This will probably catch me out, and it's also very awkward? I am still waiting to hear back from the outcome of that.

I'm getting emailed a bunch of internal onboarding emails for the new company, and being congratulated by the recruiter. I think I've got the job.. but I have this underlying ANXIETY that won't leave me. I feel like a fraud.

However I'm being paid $50k more now, so hopefully it checks out. Will they ever care to look into it deeper (after I've signed and reference checks come back fine)?
