Remember when all you had to do to be a contributing member of society was go to school? Lemme write it out as a job description
- You'd be expected to show up between 8:30-3:30 M-F (including lunch)
- You can stay for extra stuff if you want but no obligation to
- If you get your work done on site you don't need to bring it home with you
- You only need to complete the work by the deadline and to a passing quality, if you're not the best that's fine they're not gonna fire you or replace you
- ~3 months of vacation every year + holidays
- pretty much unlimited sick time as long as you get your work done.
I mean sure anything is easy when your parents are paying your rent and food but like just doing this was socially acceptable.
And I remember hating being at school it felt like such a waste of time, I'd rather be at home playing guitar hero or some shit. Now after working like I have, if a job like that could pay the bills I'd walk out tomorrow.
