So here’s some background, I (17M) work in the food industry making $15/hr as a seventeen year old. I know it’s pretty good money but I don’t particular love my job or anything. One of my female coworkers who I think is like 40+ I’m not really sure keeps making comments to me. She’ll say things like “ooooh I wish you’d turn 18” or things like “I love the way you talk to me” or even and I shit you not “yes daddy” when I asked her to finish an order. Considering I have a girlfriend, and this lady is double if not triple my age, this makes me pretty uncomfortable at work. She’s also openly made offers to other coworkers asking for sex. I usually laugh off her comments and continue about my day but they have really stuck with me for a while and kind of bug me. I need some advice on how to best handle this Bc I don’t really want to be a dick to her or call her out on her shit but it does make me rather uncomfortable. I haven’t reported her to anyone or anything yet Bc it seems like this stuff is just usually at work I guess. What’s the best way to handle this?
On a side note, I don’t want to seem like a money hungry guy but like who’s not so what would be the correct steps to start forming a sexual harassment case against the company keeping in mind that I am a minor. Also what would be the effects of a case like this because I am under the impression that it would mostly just hurt the company’s pockets and no one else. What are my options?
