Hi, I live in a latino country looking to work remotely for someone in the US, and hoping to get paid in USD cause you know, wages in Latin America are a joke
In the last few days I got a job offer for a real estate company over there to work as an OSA/ISA, I was very excited cause it finally seemed that I would start getting good money to eventually escape my country, today I was in a meeting with the realtor talking about the contract, the schedule, and whatnot
The wage is… 384 USD monthly working from 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m, with a 2 hour break at 12:00 p.m, every day, weekends off, and there's going to be a 90-day trial, split into three 30-days parts, where there are goals for each part, and they would be checking on me (with guidance and help) to see if I am meeting those goals.
But only after those 90 days AND if I prove myself to be suitable for the job, then they would raise the wage up to 512 USD, there are also bonuses that you can get but… the thing is I don't have experience with sales, just with customer service, I'm not bad but not perfect, and I also can make those 512 USD right from the start with any bilingual company here in my country for less hours a day
I really don't like the idea of belonging to someone for 10 hours a day (with those 2 hours break included) and also the possibility of having to do extra stuff outside of my shift, just for 384 USD and then MAYBE after 3 months, I would get a raise…
Is it ok to reject this? What do you guys think?
edit: forgot to add that the pay is monthly, 384 USD each month for 3 months and then maybe I would get an increase to 512 USD monthly after those 90 days
