I need to be “thankful”

I currently work for a company that operates kiosks inside of Walmarts. Yesterday while I was with a client I got a horrible pain in my side and almost threw up. I managed to finish with that client but TOLD my boss I was going to the emergency because something was definitely wrong. I soon got a call on the work phone as I was getting up to leave that I was not allowed to leave the desk before I finished all of that’s days appointments. I said I physically could not continue to sit at a desk for another 5 hours in pain like this. I closed down my kiosk and took myself to the er. As I was being admitted my boss called and told me that I should be “thankful” she let me leave and not discipline me. Anyway i found out I have a kidney stone…

As I was being admitted my boss called and told me that I should be “thankful” she let me leave and not discipline me. Anyway i found out I have a kidney stone and was given some pain and nausea meds. Today I did not expect to work, I am still I’ll and I have school. I was told I must come in because my boss “can’t keep tolerating my absences” So here I am, drugged up, and going to work. This isn’t worth $12 an hour.
