I need to call in sick but it’s only my second week at my new job. How do I explain to my boss I feel terrible?

So I've been sort of sick for awhile. When I started working at Wingstop a few days later I started noticing my sinuses were starting to dry out and my throat was sore as hell. A few days ago buy and I start to feel sorry of better but my nose is stuffed up and I can't see a doctor to find out why or explain any symptoms I've been having because I'm broke. Then yesterday on my day off my throat feels absolutely fucking terrible after waking up, gets a little better, and then closer to bed time I start feeling terrible again. Nothing is helping my throat feel better and it hurts to move my neck because of how sore it feels. I tell my boyfriend I'm going to bed and he says he'll come lay down with me until I fall asleep. I wake up around like 3 and he's not in bed and I feel terrible so I go back to sleep. I wake up at six to him opening his bedroom door and getting into bed and he notices how awful my voice sounds and says I need to call in. Come 8:30 I wake up, feel fucking terrible, and wake up my boyfriend telling him how bad my throat is. He says I should call in because I'm a cashier and it's not that easy to hearenat all with how bad I sound.

Now I would call the store and tell the opening manager what's up but Wingstop has an automated system to where if they're open you just gotta wait for someone to pick up and if they're closed you just get a “sorry were closed message” followed by the operating hours meaning I have to call my boss. I work at 11 and I'm scared about what they'll say because of how short handed we are.
