I quit my dream job

As the title says, I quit my dream job. I really liked the job, it took me years of grinding to get to that place. Pay was descent, I got to see new places and overall I was doing what I liked. All that was great, but my boss… He was a really difficult person, he could destroy any joy you had working in seconds for the most insignificant thing and when the day was over he would say something like: “I know I was harsh, but great job today” I tried to understand where he was coming from and for the first 10 or so times I would be like, “Don’t worry man, sorry about the thing” But when that happens a hundred times and every time it gets worse, petty and personal you really get burned out, no matter how much you really do love your job. As the title says, I quit my dream job.
I really liked the job, it took me years of grinding to get to that place. Pay was descent, I got to see new places and overall I was doing what I liked.
All that was great, but my boss…

He was a really difficult person, he could destroy any joy you had working in seconds for the most insignificant thing and when the day was over he would say something like: “I know I was harsh, but great job today”
I tried to understand where he was coming from and for the first 10 or so times I would be like, “Don’t worry man, sorry about the thing”
But when that happens a hundred times and every time it gets worse, petty and personal you really get burned out, no matter how much you really do love your job.

This is the part where I should say that it was the best decision ever and I’m happy about it, but no. I don’t feel that way, I feel like I thrown years of hard work to the trash and now I have to start from zero again. Not a nice feeling.
I know I’ll get something better one day, but right now doesn’t feel that way.
I don’t want to end in a downer, so I’ll just say that I learned to not get emotionally invested in any job anymore, no matter how good I think it is, it’s not worth it.
