I quit my thankless nursing job and now I’m a receptionist at a cool tech company, and they spoil me!

As a nurse in the US, I worked 12 hour night shifts, oftentimes extra shifts, had to hold my breath hoping I'd get time off when I needed it, I was worked to the bone. Day shift would occasionally get catered lunches, and us night shifters would get leftovers, that had been left out for 8-12 hours, or a pack of uncooked hotdogs. The coffee sucked. Patients were often rude and tiring. It was a thankless fucking job. I left it all behind to start a new life abroad. Now I work as a receptionist at a big tech company. My salary is more than I made when I first became a nurse. I get paid to welcome people, keep snacks stocked, order groceries, keep the place tidy, set up lunch, etc. I work normal office hours, no weekends or holidays. I get nearly 2 months of paid time off…

I get paid to welcome people, keep snacks stocked, order groceries, keep the place tidy, set up lunch, etc. I work normal office hours, no weekends or holidays. I get nearly 2 months of paid time off every year. The people are nice. There's a Friday Bar every week. We can sign up for free professional massages once a week. Catered meals every day. And more! No matter your position at the company, everyone gets the same benefits.

No one should settle for any less than this!

This isn't exactly anti work, but it's as close as one can get while actually having a job. Know your worth!
